The Cortes Island Seniors Society (CISS) was established in 1986 for the purpose of organizing social activities for seniors and building and managing the Seniors Village at 951 Beesley Rd in Manson’s Landing. In 2025, the Cortes Housing Society took over management of the Seniors Village.

The Seniors Village (a 55+ community) is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and located next door to the Health Centre, Firehall, Museum, and Elementary School. It is walking distance to the Community Hall, grocery store, and pristine Hague Lake. There are 10 one-bedroom units with wheelchair accessible bathrooms, private laundry and full kitchens. Tenants must be capable of independent living.
