Still learning but comfortable around most machines; I prioritize my own safety and asking for instruction and advice around machinery, especially new-to-me. I’d like to work towards furniture and cabinetry, with manual joinery. This will take some time and patience. 🙂
Outdoor woodworking – largest project was designing and building 120sq ft passive solar greenhouse, various outdoor open air shelters (for storage, tools, firewood), small decks and boardwalks (raised and ground level), various types and styles of raised garden beds. Multi-years Professional experience with trail building crews – constructing at-level and raised boardwalks, bridges across wetland areas @ height, jumps/ramps, information/map shelters, etc – using dimensional lumber and post/beam depending on location/need.
Indoor – home renovations and remodeling – shelving design and installation (freestanding, between wall studs), precise cutting/hole cutting of full sized baltic birch plywood sheets as replacement of drywall.
Familiar with safe usage of mitre & table saws. Some recent experience with thickness planer. Need guidance with jointer (new to me) & refresh with band saw & drill press.
